Administrative Section

Along with general administrative duties, this section is responsible for entering into the Crime Lab computer system information on more than 500,000 pieces of evidence submitted each year by law enforcement officers. The implementation of new evidence-receiving methods, such as lock boxes and standardized evidence submission kits for blood alcohol, sexual assault and gunshot residue, has shortened the lab's processing times on evidence submitted by law enforcement agencies.

The Crime Lab computer system, the compilation and routing of data and the generation of administrative reports throughout the entire laboratory system are supported and maintained in this section.
