1999 GEORGIA BINGO ANNUAL REPORT

During calendar year 1999, 261 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 12,772 approved bingo workers/officers.

Gross receipts for all licensees totaled $30,433,037 in 1999, which was a 2.37% decrease over 1998 receipts of $31,173,199. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $273,022 in 1999, which was a 10.4% decrease over 1998 receipts of $304,693. The average gross receipts were $116,602.

Prizes awarded to players totaled $19,483,201 or 64.0% of gross receipts as compared to $19,719,450 or 63.2% in 1998.

Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $1,091,248 or 3.5% of gross receipts in 1999 as compared to $1,207,387 or 3.8% in 1998.

Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $7,212,374 in 1999 or 23.7% of receipts.

Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $2,967,236 in 1999 or 9.7% of gross bingo receipts.
