2004 GEORGIA BINGO ANNUAL REPORT

During calendar year 2004, 248 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 10,779 approved bingo workers/officers.

Gross receipts for all licensees totaled $32,087,623 in 2004, which was a 2.1% decrease over 2003 receipts of $32,759,467. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $343,226 in 2004, which was a 4.0% increase over 2003 receipts of $329,166. The average gross receipts were $160,438.

Prizes awarded to players totaled $21,064,358 or 65.5% of gross receipts as compared to $20,884,298 or 63.7% in 2003.

Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $1,058,435 or 3.2% of gross receipts in 2004 as compared to $1,349,524 or 4.1% in 2003.

Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $7,284,056 in 2004 or 22.6% of receipts.

Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $2,816,336 in 2004 or 8.7% of gross bingo receipts.
