2003 GEORGIA BINGO ANNUAL REPORT

During calendar year 2003, 213 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 12,056 approved bingo workers/officers.

Gross receipts for all licensees totaled $32,759,467 in 2003, which was a 4.8% increase over 2002 receipts of $31,172,684. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $329,166 in 2003, which was a 9.8% decrease over 2002 receipts of $364,998. The average gross receipts were $129,998.

Prizes awarded to players totaled $20,884,298 or 63.7% of gross receipts as compared to $19,927,950 or 63.9% in 2002.

Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $1,349,524 or 4.1% of gross receipts in 2003 as compared to $1,225,989 or 3.9% in 2002.

Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $7,376,122 in 2003 or 22.5% of receipts.

Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $3,206,755 in 2003 or 9.7% of gross bingo receipts.
