2000 GEORGIA BINGO ANNUAL REPORT

During calendar year 2000, 266 nonprofit organizations were licensed to conduct bingo games in Georgia with approximately 12,416 approved bingo workers/officers.

Gross receipts for all licensees totaled $28,957,891 in 2000, which was a 4.84% decrease over 1999 receipts of $30,433,037. The highest gross receipts by any single license holder totaled $267,835 in 2000, which was a 1.89% decrease over 1999 receipts of $273,022. The average gross receipts were $109,275.

Prizes awarded to players totaled $18,707,541 or 64.5% of gross receipts as compared to $19,483,201 or 64.0% in 1999.

Charitable donations reported by all licensees amounted to $1,098,048 or 3.8% of gross receipts in 2000 as compared to $1,091,248 or 3.5% in 1999.

Expenses reported by licensees to run bingo games totaled $6,736,942 in 2000 or 23.3% of receipts.

Net proceeds reported by licensees after pay-out of prizes, game expenses and reported donations, totaled $2,683,841 in 2000 or 9.3% of gross bingo receipts.
