> Drug Free Workplace
Some
very positive changes are being made in the Drug-Free Workplace Program offered
through the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police. Beginning September 11, 1999,
our Executive Board will be transferring responsibility for the administration
of the GACP Drug-Free Workplace Program from Work Place Health Services (or any
companies associated with Ms. Wanda Johnson) to Alcohol & Substance Abuse
Prevention Programs (ASAP).
ASAP
was established in 1988 and currently administers turnkey fully compliant State
and Federal programs for over 5,000 clients in 17 states. Although pricing will
be competitive with our former provider, ASAP will provide many additional benefits
for our client companies including:
- Administration
- Medical
Review Officers
- 24-Hour
Employee Assistance Program
- Integrated
DOT/Federal compliance program
GACP
actively promotes the Drug-Free Workplace Program not only because of the resulting
benefits to employers but also because, as law enforcement officials, were
equally concerned with reducing drug and alcohol abuse in our communities.
To
facilitate the transition to ASAP, please contact Charles Pettyjohn, ASAP President,
at (800) 329-6334, ext. 221. Based on information provided, employer preferences
and regulatory requirements, your organization will be provided with customized
Employer Guidebooks and all startup materials. ASAPs Georgia Drug Free Workplace
Program consultants will personally work with each employer to expedite implementation
of the program.
Please
join GACP in welcoming ASAP as our new provide for the Drug-Free Workplace Program
in Georgia.
